Thing #12 April 14, 2008
I wonder how many times a day I say to myself "I don't have time"? I loved the fact that I can type in a subject and get a list of news articles about what is relevant to me. I found this to be very productive.
Thing #11 - April 14
Well, this would have been nice to know when I was writing my paper for my Masters Degree. Currently, our 4-6 graders are doing science and history projects. This will be a great tool for them to use to organize and find useful information.

Thing #10 - April 9, 2008
Wiki - I have always been frustrated with email responses from a group of people. By the time someone replies, someone else has replied with possibly the same response and then you have to email everyone again changing the plans. The Wiki option would be so productive and appears to be very easy to use. I worked in the sandbox and was successful with editing and saving. However, when I went to edit on the MN 150 Wiki, I felt uncomfortable changing anything. What did I have to offer? I decided not to make my mark. I plan numerous fundriasing events with a group of 20 team members. I could have used a Wiki page for countless planning sessions in the past.

Thing #9 - April 1, 2008
I especially liked Zoho Writer. I have always wanted to add an emotion but never knew how. I know that sounds lame. I really don't think it is any easier than Google Docs, it just looked more familiar to me. I also like the fact that you have to be invited to edit the document. The comment option was a neat function. I think our Founding Fathers would have appreciated a helping hand in editing the Constitution!
Thing #8 - April 1, 2008
My ZoHo presentation was uploaded but I am somehow missing slide #1. I had trouble with my thumbtacks presentation. I think the site is still under construction. I am beginning to feel more confident getting me creations to my blog. I am always amazed when things actually appear by just clicking the correct button.

Thing #7 -March 31, 2008
email - I have to admit that I am tempted to say "time waster". I feel it is our responsibility as a professional to make sure we are using email as a productivity tool. It has helped open communication with parents and staff. However, I am annoyed by how many emails I open each day that are silly jokes and other time wasters.
IM - TIME WASTER! Students are IMing each other while doing homework or other tasks.
Web Conferencing - I watched my husband hold an interview with 3 other employers. I was amazed by the technology and wondered how I might ever use it.
I visited the Ebooks and Netlibrary. I did not attend the Webinar but downloaded the handouts.
